THE art of drag Seminar: results from the reflection sessions
During The Art of Drag seminar, the students from MLEST3110 Aesthetic Learning in Primary Education: Drama, Puppetry and Creative Processes facilitated three post-session reflection dialogues with the audience. The purpose of these dialogues was to collectively explore, distill, and articulate concrete actions for working with diversity and inclusive practices.
The three reflection sessions were:
Session 1: Drag in Society with Shlomi Ruimi and Bland Drakar och Drag Queens.
Session 2: Drag as an Inclusive Practice with Katinka Steensgaard and Drag Syndrome.
Session 3: Drag in Academia with Kareem Khubchandani.
The students compiled summaries of the audience reflections. These summaries highlight key insights that can support the drag community, and other fields, in advancing diversity and inclusive practices.
